Building Communities and Opportunities

Working with the community in this way establishes a positive and exciting perception of a student’s future career in the construction industry

In order to satisfy our mission

We Reach, Inspire and Educate

There is a dire need for an increase in the younger workforce to replace the aging workforce in construction, but we’ve found they frequently are unaware of the possibilities this career has to offer.

We Partner with Role Models

Kanten Russell

Kanten Russell

To excite students about careers in construction we have partnered with Kanten Russell, former professional skateboarder now skatepark designer with New Line Skateparks. Local students enrolled in Career Technical Education classes engage in the design and construction of a local skatepark.

Project Cornerstone collaborates with the local construction community, high schools, Parks Departments and Kanten to provide students with the hands-on skatepark related construction project they can embrace and relate to. The program makes the connections to create jobs, and students can enjoy skatepark projects they had direct involvement in creating.
