Project Cornerstone participated in Escondido Days through the Escondido Chamber of Commerce at the San Diego County Fair on Saturday, June 20, 2015. The Escondido booths were located in the California Pavilion on the infield.
This year’s theme was “A Fair to Remember” in celebration of the 1915 World’s Fair and birth of San Diego’s Balboa Park.
The booth drew visitors of all ages. Many of them asked questions about construction aggregates (i.e., sand, gravel and crushed stone used in construction materials like concrete and asphalt) and made the mini concrete stars to take home.
Miss Escondido, Miss Teen Escondido and Miss Jr. Teen Escondido even stopped by to make concrete!
Visitors were given information about how construction aggregates were used to build San Diego’s iconic Balboa Park.
Project Cornerstone also participated in the Lakeside Days at the San Diego County Fair on Saturday, June 13, 2015.
