Ms. Howard and Mrs. Burley presented Ms. Restrepo with the in-class hands-on concrete making activity and explained how it and the sieve analysis supports the Next Generation Science Standards.

This meeting was important for Project Cornerstone in order to get the program into schools in the East County.  Ms. Restrepo coordinates the science programs within the district and is able to connect with science teachers directly.

As a result of the meeting with Ms. Restrepo, a sixth grade teacher has already agreed to bring Project Cornerstone into her classroom.
