Project Cornerstone sponsored a hole at the American Concrete Institute (ACI), San Diego Chapter Golf Tournament on September 15, 2014 at the Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos, CA.
The event drew a crowd of over 130 players to raise funds for the ACI San Diego Chapter and the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP).
ACI is a non-profit technical and educational society and one of the world’s leading authorities on concrete technology.
Funds raised for the Wounded Warrior Project were donated to the WWP Packs program. The backpacks are filled with essential care and comfort items, and are given to wounded service members in order to make their hospital stay a little more comfortable.
Project Cornerstone staff members, Crystal Howard and Alyssa Burley, handed out much appreciated water, soda and snacks to players on the 7th hole. Overall, the response from the players was enthusiastic about the work Project Cornerstone is doing throughout the County. Many of the players requested information about the organization and the upcoming Project Cornerstone Golf Tournament on November 21, 2014 at Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook, CA.
